So far, in my food bar experience, the line of Raw Revolution Bars are probably the best food bars I've eaten because they rank high in taste, texture, moistness, and nutrient goodness. If you ever wanted to try something that is sweetened only with agave nectar instead of processed sugars, these bars are an excellent place to start.
My primary beef with most food bars is that they are either too dry or too tough making chewing a challenging experience, or the bars taste like pasty saw dust. I remember eating this one "health" bar and it tasted like medicine in granola. These Raw Revolution Bars, however, are none of the above, and are a wonderful food bar experience.
The bar in my snapshot is the Cashew and Agave Nectar, and it is yummy. Here's the bar's nutrition information. The bar you can see is really moist, and if I had to nit pick at the bar it would be that the bar was a bit too moist and you can feel some of the nut grease on your fingers. That might bother some, but to me, I take it as a good sign of its naturalness. Nuts are oily.
There are 8 flavors and I have tried the Cashew & Agave, Coconut & Agave, and the Spirulina & Cashew. All were divine. For a green bar, the Spirulina was pretty tasty. It had almost no "grass" taste at all. All the Raw Revolution bars are Gluten Free, Vegan-friendly, Wheat, Corn, Soy, Trans-fat, Cholesterol, and Refined Sugar Free. They are also Kosher. Here is a store locator to help you find your way to one of these bars.
What I found cool too was that these Raw Revolution Bars were the brain child of a single mother who is also a nurse and Natural Foods Chef. She wanted to create a raw snack for her child as an alternative to high sugar processed snacks. I have to say that she succeeded, not only for kids but for the adults as well.
