Whenever I get salad from the salad bar to bring home, I always have left overs. The next day, I like to make little tea-like sandwiches with my salad left overs like this creation. Before I go on, I always have to have bread with salad. Cuts from a loaf of Pugilese or Seeded French bread are my favorites.
In this picture is a small slice of Pugilese with 2 slivers of Colby Jack Cheese, a slice of tomato, cucumber, and on top a piece of kale. I spread a little Brianna's Poppy Seed Dressing on the bread for a non-mayo kicker. This is a great little light snack for the afternoon with some iced tea.
This little creation looks really nice, but typically, I'll just slop some salad from the container onto the bread because each time you can get a little different version. That's how we do it home style :)
