Dr. Andrew Weil's second True Food Kitchen opened up in Scottsdale Quarters this week, and the most awe-striking thing about this place is this nearly 9' wall of fresh Rosemary in their herb garden....not to mention that they have a full on coolio, droolworthy herb garden.
I want a garden just like this in my backyard one day!
Standing next to this wall you can smell the Rosemary wafting through the breeze and wow! The scent truly feels healing.
Here's a closer up picture of the Rosemary wall to get an idea of how large these planters are.
There are all kinds of herbs growing in this garden and some of the ones I found fascinating are Lemon Thyme, Purple Basil, Tri-color Sage, Pineapple Sage, Lovage, and French Tarragon. There is even a Kumquat tree growing in the garden.
On one side of the garden, there is a section with all these fascinating looking plants...
...which are then used as table decor like this huge center piece on this table.
One of the other fun herbs I saw that I never knew existed was Chocolate mint, and if you put your nose up to the plant, you can smell whiffs of chocolate. It's really cool!
And speaking of chocolate, friend @tambre and I shared this most amazing rich and creamy chocolate pudding which had a consistency more like mousse, and OMG! mouthgasm.
And the best part, it was vegan. Oh yeah! I can't tell you how excited I am to be able to have pudding for dessert at a restaurant. Even if you can have dairy, you will love this pudding so do try it out. If I was eating this pudding at home, I'd be licking the bowl.
