I do a really good job on Twitter with community building on my accounts @skinnyjeans and @noshtopia, but for some reason admittedly, I blow at Facebook for Noshtopia. So, I did a make-better and re-designed the Noshtopia Fan Page. Here's the new Welcome! page.
I spent some time checking out other Facebook fan pages and learned what made some of them popular. To me, once you have more than 1,000 fans then you are popular.
One of my 2011 goals with the Noshtopia is to get to 10,000 fans. That's an ambitious goal indeed, but I've seen others achieve the same thing or better in the same amount of time...one year.
I added a much nicer profile photo which looks more like a cool banner. I re-did the "Welcome" page to be more inviting and to the point, and I added a section called, "Top Recipes" which features 12 fun noshy recipes here on the blog and is really pretty looking. See!
But most importantly, I put better descriptors of what Noshtopia is about. Before I just had, "Connect deliciously!" which is cute but it says nothing of what Noshtopia can do for fans.
I really love the new look and add-ons, so we'll see how our fan page grows!
