Back in March at the Natural Products Expo West, I tried Nasoya's new organic black soybean tofu, and was excited to see that the tofu is now on the shelves at my local Whole Foods. I was fascinated with the black soybeans which are traditionally used in Chinese medicine because of it's healing benefits - Farmacy, food as medicine.
For a Meatless Monday dish, I cut the block of black soybean tofu into strips and pan-fried them in some olive oil with shoyu sauce and a little brown sugar.
Whole Foods has a Sesame Ginger dressing which is not only great on salads but makes for an awesome sauce. I've used the Sesame Ginger on salmon before and it was a dinner hit!
After I was done cooking the tofu, I slathered some of the Sesame Ginger dressing on the sticks and then sprinkled on some sesame seeds. The green beans were simply a quick saute in garlic and sea salt. On the side, is a scoop of Jasmine rice.
I love when dinner turns out so deliciously simple!
