When you hear "eliminate High Fructose Corn Syrup from your diet" most people automatically think of only foods and drinks like cereals and sodas, but HFCS is used quite a bit in condiments as well, and you may be eating the stuff via the condiments you use.
First, read the labels of all the condiments in your fridge. Take a look at ketchup, mustards, mayonnaise, relishes, sandwich spreads, barbecue sauces, hot sauces, worscestershire, Teriyaki, Asian sauces like Black Bean or Garlic, and even salad dressings.
You might be surprised to find that there is more HFCS in some of your condiments than you realized. I'm the queen of Kethcup and sware I have to put the stuff on almost everything. I found out a couple years ago that my favorite ketchup had HFCS in it so I decided to try out some of the organic ketchups, and found that I liked the taste of the organic ketchups better. And, even more exciting is that the cost of the bottle of organic ketchup was no more than 25 cents depending on store and brand. That was totally worth it to me, and it may be for you as well.
