I have translated my love for the game Tetris in my ability to pack as many things as I can into my favorite Sheryl Crow designed Whole Foods reusable bag. That was the best 79 cents I ever spent!
The other day I stunned the check out guy with the amount of groceries I was able to cram into this bag which measures 9.5"w X 7.5"d X 11.5"h and is designed to carry lunch. Me, I can pack 2-3 days worth of food in there!
The other reason I love this smaller bag is that it helps me to not over-spend or buy big bags of things like potato chips or 6-packs of soda. I limit my purchases to only what will fit into that bag. I love grocery shopping, so coming back to the store is a pleasure for me!
This is what I got into the bag:
- 2 - small box containers from the salad bar
- 1 - bottle of Brianna's Poppyseed dressing
- 2 - bottles of Whole Foods brand Iced Teas
- 1 - box of Lundberg's Wild Porcini Risotto
- 2 - cans one of soup and the other butternut squash
- 1 - bag of frozen Wild Alaskan Salmon fillets
- 2 - portobello mushrooms
- 1 - container of 8 cucumber rolls from the sushi bar
- 2 - bananas
- 1 - small bag of granola from bulk foods
- 1 - small bag of Ener-G gluten-free pretzels
- 1 - can of Ginger Ale
- 2 - containers of yogurt
- 2 - sample containers of honey mustard dressing from the salad bar
- 1 - vegan cookie from the bakery
Holy moley! See told ya. I am good at Tetris :-)
