I don't know about you, but baby carrots just remind me of years of dieting and deprivation. It's not really the carrots fault, but my own because I ate WAY too many baby carrots when I was doing whatever "in" diet at the time.
Because of farmers markets, I've now become accustomed to eating heirloom carrots, wild from Mother Nature. I can no longer enjoy eating conventional baby carrots. There's a BIG difference between the two mostly in flavor. Plus, heirloom carrots are just way more fun and come in all kinds of cool colors. My favorite color of course are the purple carrots, and a close second are the blood orange colored ones.
It's true. Once you go heirloom, you can't go back :-)
