Here's a bit about my own personal experience and successes with blogging and social media. In the one-on-one blog coaching sessions I offer, I will be able to share with you the knowledge and expertise I have gathered in almost 5 years of professional blogging in the lifestyle categories.
- My first blog was Back in Skinny Jeans an uplifting place about getting fit body, mind, and spirit. At the height of its success, Back in Skinny Jeans had a Google page rank of 5, was consider one of the most influential blogs in the healthy living category, and garnished publicity from large media outlets like CNBC, PBS, iVillage, Glamour, Yahoo Shine, and Women's Health.
- I currently food blog at Noshtopia, a splendid place where eating healthier is fun and flavorful. Noshtopia is less than 2 years old and currently has a Google page rank of 4. This blog has garnished publicity from large media outlets like the LA Times Food Blog Daily Dish, and Wall Street Journal.
- On Twitter, @skinnyjeans, I grew a Following of 47K+ and @noshtopia I have a Following of almost 2500 in a year.

- My mom and I were featured in the Wall Street Journal in a post about being "friends" with your mom on Facebook....If your parents are cool like mine, I say do it!
- Noshtopia gets her first mention in the LA Times Food Blog Daily Dish about sugar weaning.
- On the CNBC show "On the Money," I was featured as a "Success Story" on my journey from going on a 3-month medical leave from my corporate job to becoming one of the top women bloggers in the world.
- I was one of 5 top Twitterers to guest on the PBS Media Shift online show 5Across on an episode titled, "Will Twitter Change The World?"
- Women’s Health magazine featured me in their December 2007 issue as a top
healthy living blogger.
- Jillian Michael’s, of The Biggest Loser fame, shouted out some fitness love for Back in Skinny
Jeans on her radio show.
- Back in Skinny Jeans was part of Oprah’s new Digital Network of bloggers.
- I’ve been interviewed by New York Times reporter Lisa Belkin for her XM radio show “Life’s Work” where I talked about how to reveal very personal issues via blog.
- In 2007, Microsoft hired me as an Enthusiast Evangelist because of my talent of translating geek speak into Oprah speak. My job was to evangelize MS’s consumer and web products to everyday people.
In my past life prior
to blogging, I spent over 12 years working in Silicon Valley at startups
to Fortune biggies Microsoft and NVIDIA in evangelism and corporate and
customer marketing having also managed advertising, branding, PR, and
events on both the corporate and agency side.
